Fantastic opportunity to acquire a fully operational PADI 5-Star Dive Resort on the beautiful Spanish Island of Menorca in the Balearic Islands. Established in 2004, the owners have during 21 years built a comprehensive base of repetitive clients and a solid reputation amongst peers. We are optimally located in the centre of the island (on the south coast) with excellent access to all dive sites. This is a genuine turnkey opportunity and a great chance for the right persons to take this business onward into the future. Menorca offers a fascinating topography for diving, including impressive caverns, caves and a wide variety of healthy Mediterranean marine life. With over 45 dive sites within its portfolio, on the North, South and West coasts we are rarely affected by wind or weather restrictions, and we can offer plenty of variety for our dive package customers. We are one of a few centres with a permit to dive the Northern Marine Reserve and we have our boat located right next to it. We operate from a commercial centre, ideally for attracting new customers and the premises are rented on a 10-year renewable contract. The dive centre offers a large retail area, an office for registering divers and admin work, kit storage, an indoor classroom facility, a workshop, a shower and a large outside terrace for outdoor briefings and for customers to relax and socialise. Behind the centre we have our dunk bassins and next to it a large parking area for loading and unloading the vans. We have a compressor room, which was constructed to exceed the requirements of safety legislation covering high pressure environments. We are a dealer for Aqualung & Apeks, both A-rated brands, and the diving equipment including cylinders is as good as new. Included in the sale are a dive boat (2020), and two vans (2013 & 2017). Our catchment area covers 5 main resorts which comprise of private villas and apartments, multiple 3, 4 and 5* hotels and aparthotels totaling more than 15.000 beds. Our new web site was launched in 2023 and receives many positive comments. In six languages, it is modern and easy to navigate, with beautiful images and comprehensive descriptions and information. We have had a 5* Trip Advisor rating for many years and are the number 1 activity in our local area. Our customers include international (English, French and German) and Spanish holiday makers as well as local clients. We work across all ages and dive abilities, choosing to offer smaller groups sizes and giving our customers a more personal experience.

The Centre has all the authorizations and permissions required to operate and the premises are rented on a 10-year renewable contract. The tourist season runs from Easter until the beginning in November, but the dive centre could open during more months of the year for the same costs. This is one of the areas that could be developed. With some airlines now flying into Menorca throughout the winter, this could open up more winter opportunities.
During the summer months we employ 2 more instructors and usually an apprentice Divemaster, but alternatively it could easily be run as a family concern.
Offered Support for the new owner:
The present owners could advise during any transitional period concerning the daily operation of the business. Both have a professional attitude and know all the details of how the centre operates and, if asked for, would be happy to work as employees alongside the new owners, so as to ascertain that the transition period goes smoothly and for the introduction with our repetitive customer base. Both have more than 40 years of professional scuba experience and in possession of a professional Spanish boat license (Patrón Portuario) for the dive boat.
